This is yet another recipe that I got from my mom-in-law when she was here. She gave me her recipe for mutton cutlets and I put my twist to it by adding/omitting some ingredients and made these yummy beef cutlets. Beef or for that matter, any cutlets are pretty easy to make and is a great crowd pleaser, which is why you find them at dinner parties very often. Kerala is the only state (as far as i know) in India that is very tolerant in the use of beef in day to day cooking and beef cutlets are especially popular among the Christian community in Kerala. I may be wrong about that, but during the 20 odd years that i grew up in Kerala, I've seen this as a very common appetizer that most of my friends’ moms make.
You can substitute any other ground meat instead of beef and vegetarians can use a mix of potatoes, beetroot, carrots, green peas etc.
